The Anti-Defamation League fails to fight racism

The US Anti-Defamation League describes itself as “a leading anti-hate organization that was founded in 1913 in response to an escalating climate of antisemitism and bigotry”.

Here, a former staffer with the the ADL explains how she was driven to despair by biases she encountered within the organisation.

Notionally dedicated to “secure justice and fair treatment to all” Tasha Kaminsky found that the organisation was willing to work with white supremacists.

Furthermore, ADL’s anti-bias training for police officers seemed to her occasions on which their bias was reinforced rather than challenged.

This work also involved taking police officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department on sponsored trips to Israel – to learn about counterterrorism and “crowd control”.

IN addition, she found, the ADL maintains a policy preventing the organisation and its staff from acknowledging anything to do with Palestine…
