Actually Joseph I think you underestimate antizionism in the Jewsh Socialist Group (which certainly attracted me to the group, more than Bundism; in fact the Hackney Alternative Jewish Alliance was formed around people with a more Central-European assimilated heritage). Contrastingly ,I also wonder if maybe you underestimate the strength of pre-war Zionism. Emmanuel LItvinoff and my late father-in-law both came from different parts of East London and were both members of the young blue-and-whites. This evidence is only anecdotal and literary of course, you may have the figures. Anyway many thanks
