Back in January UK-based rights group Amnesty said Israel needed to “stop ignoring its international obligations as an occupying power and immediately act to ensure that Covid-19 vaccines are equally and fairly provided to Palestinians living under its occupation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.”
Three months later, 19 NGOs including Amnesty International, Physicians for Human Rights Israel and a coalition of Palestinian human rights groups insist that all 4.5 million Palestinians living under Israel’s military occupation should be included in the calculation of Israel’s vaccine success story.
It is, they say, “legally incorrect and morally problematic” to exclude them…

I keep in touch with friends in Bethlehem and nearby Beit Jala. Almost daily I’m made aware of the already existing medical shortages, the loss of income due to lockdown and the spread of the virus. The restrictions imposed by the occupying forces have been bad enough, but to withhold the vaccine, using specious arguments as justification, adds another dimension of inhumanity. It’s difficult to escape the conclusion that this is one more aspect of a deliberate policy to destabilise and harm the occupied population.
I read that about 80% of UK politicians, including Johnson & Starmer, are under the thrall of Israeli government.
That it is written in US law that Israel receives millions of dollars to, supposedly, control the Middle East.
Let’s get on to Joe Biden, see if he understands the horrible reality and will try for change.
