Homes raided, Joy outlawed as Palestinians are released from prison
JVL Introduction
Israel says it will prevent ‘public displays of joy’ by families when Palestinians are released as part of Gaza ceasefire and they have been raiding the homes of prisoners’ families. Is this another way of suppressing and trying and failing – to dehumanise Palestinians? Is it to continue to punish people? It is likely all these things and more as explored in this article.
Pictured above and in the body of the article is Khlaida Jarrar, a PFLP Leader rearrested Dec 2023 and held without charge, her six month “administrative detention” was technically extended for the third time in December 2024 but today she is free. after enduring terrible conditions as these pictures and this article show.
As more Palestinians are released, many, like Ms Jarrar, who will have been held without charge and/or subject to extreme privations and even torture, there will be many stories to come out. However, for now, we share the joy that families feel to have their loved ones back with them.
