As the destruction of Gaza continues, what do people from Gaza remember from October 6th and what has happened since.  The stories of ordinary people are devastating to read and their experiences are almost unimaginable for people who have not experienced war and displacement.  It is so important that we remember that the horrifying numbers are individual people, with hopes and dreams that have been shattered. We must also remember that life was difficult on October 6th as it has been since 1948 but particularly since 2008 and the periodic “wars”.
