I disagree with the conclusions of this article, though I accept the accuracy of much of its content. We have (mostly) good anti discrimination legislation, which needs to be defended and used. The left should be calling on the EHRC to make sure its formal investigation relies on EVIDENCE not unsubstantiated allegations, and is framed by the legislation which outlaws discrimination on the grounds of race and religion, not on ‘antisemitism’, which has no legislative meaning, nor on the IHRA document, which has neither legislative meaning or status. If it does that competently, then I find it hard to believe that Labour has much to worry about.
