Created by a UN resolution, Israel rejects almost everything about it
JVL Introduction
Israel was created by a UN resolution but Israel treats the UN with total contempt. Here Mehdi Hasan argues for the expulsion – or at least the suspension of Israel from the UN. He notes that this was done in relation to South Africa for its practice of apartheid. He outlines numerous examples of Israel’s unacceptable behaviour and argues that excluding Israel is necessary if “the authority of the United Nations still matters. That the lives of UN staff and peacekeepers also matter. And that one rogue nation cannot declare war on the UN itself and continue to get away with it.”

Israel is a rogue nation. It should be removed from the United Nations

The Terrorist State of Israel is indiscrimately attacking indigenous people in and around it. The Zionist terrorists are waging war on the United Nations.
This horror happens because unrepresentative governments such as ours hypocritically support and actually encourage the Terrorist State of Israel.
The IDF’s unprovoked attacks on UNIFIL has wounded soldiers from Western countries (Ireland, Italy, etc) and damaged the defensive military equipment they’ve provided to the UN. Israel still hasn’t apologised for the IDF’s offences – it’s repeated them.
Putting morality to one side, what Israel has done is both STUPID and hugely reckless.
Israel has launched a small but unlawful “blitzkrieg” on European countries which either provide military supplies to the IDF themselves or have very close relationships with countries that do.
Americans of Irish or Italian descent will be infuriated at a time when US politicians have to respond to the public mood. If the USA stops supplying weaponry (much of it at America’s expense) then Israel faces military defeat on all the fronts it’s fighting and the toppling of its government (in wartime).
Isn’t there a proverb “Whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad”?
