AfD success a “nightmare” for German Jews, but Israel is ambivalent

How will the government of Israel react to the election success of the far-right AfD party in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, called “a nightmare” by Jewish leaders?
Ron Prosor, Israel’s ambassador to Germany, quoted in the Ha’aretz article below, was quick to identify the threat – from the left!
Prosor warned against the “obvious” danger of right-wing extremism but added: “left-wing antisemitism deserves exactly the same clarity.”
A left wing anti-occupation group in Germany, Israelis for Peace, condemned Prosor’s “distorted and dangerous worldview.”
Netanyahu’s government has been slow to make an official response to the election result. Ha’aretz notes chilling sentiments expressed last year by Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, commending AfD co-leader Alice Weidel for her “healthy liberal patriotism, responsible immigration policies, and a clear-eyed view of the dangers of radical Islam.”

Nationalisms exists on the idea of the ‘imagined community’. It is the process of creation. That is what groups like the AfD are demonstrating. It is ‘white supremacy imagined community’. It has no basis history or facts.
Pre-historic hunter gatherers were dark skinned for the area now known as Germany.
Just to give an example during Nazi Germany 1934 – when a 9000 year old shaman (female) grave was found. Nazi Germany politicised it as ‘aryan racial superiority’. They claimed the grave held a white skinned, blue eyed, blond man’. DECADES later modern DNA testing revealed that the skeleton belonged to a dark skinned woman from the mesolithic hunter gatherer period.
Some people cannot handle facts.
