Agnes Kory interviewed in the Metro

Hats off to the Metro newspaper for giving space to a moving and timely interview with Hungarian Holocaust survivor and JVL member Agnes Kory.
Aged 81, Agnes is an active member of the Holocaust Survivors and Descendants group which appears at every major pro-Palestinian demonstration in London. She gave Metro reporter Luke Alsford a sober assessment of the realities facing Palestinians after Donald Trump’s imposition of a ceasefire and hostage exchange.
‘After I survived, nobody was trying to bomb me and kill me anymore… I am not convinced that these people in Gaza will not continue to be under threat of being killed and hurt.’

I’ve been SO delighted to hear from Agnes about her interview being published in mainstream media , which have ignored Jewish voices against the genocide for so long. Thank you JVL for printing this respectful interview in full.
I’m a regular reader of Metro for its excellent Letters page, despatches from Patrick Cockburn, and crosswords… But I could not find the interview anywhere, even now that you’ve named the date of publication. Sad that Metro only dared to publish this online and not in the print version. (Correct me if I’m wrong).
Nonetheless this is a huge achievement and I hope at long last our voices will be heard more widely.
