Before Trump, Israel published plans for Gaza in May 2024

JVL Introduction

The “plans” to redevelop Gaza under Israeli control are not as new as some of the mainstream media would have us believe.  The Daily Express on February 17th outlined the plans under the heading Benjamin Netanyahu shown shocking plans to redevelop Gaza into ‘idyllic settlement’. (my emph. Ed)

Their article incorrectly states that: “The blueprints come after President Donald Trump unveiled controversial plans to redevelop the enclave into the ‘Riviera of the Middle East’.”

In fact these detailed plans for a hi-tech, super connected, oil rich, free trade Gaza were published, for example, in the Jerusalem Post and Al Jazeera in early May 2024 and, as republished here, in Architects’ News that same month. The Express also said that Netanyahu “also suggested the two million Palestinians would not be able to return and would be resettled elsewhere.” That part might not have been revealed at the same time as the Gaza 2035 Plans.

These earlier plans were also upfront about the oil and gas resources that would become available,  resources that do, of course, belong to the Palestinian people.
