Join the Jewish Bloc on the 2nd November London march

We are marching again against the genocide in Gaza, the ongoing Nakba in the West Bank and the heinous attacks on the people of Lebanon, which Netanyahu has threatened to “turn into Gaza”.  The Jewish Bloc will be there as usual making our contribution to the international movement against the appalling, murderous actions of Israel.

Join the demonstration in Central London on Saturday November 2nd .

The meeting point for the Jewish Bloc  will be at 11.45 College Green

(see map below, this is opposite the House of Lords)

Jewish Voice for Labour will be there with members and supporters of other Jewish organisations, after which we will join our comrades in the main demonstration and march to the US Embassy in Nine Elms Lane.

We are now thirteen months into the heinous attacks on Gaza that have spread to Lebanon with attacks and further threats to Iran and also Yemen.  The ongoing Nakba in the West Bank has accelerated dramatically since October 7th last year with huge numbers displaced and over 700  killed.  The level of attacks is unprecedented with many more being displaced even than in 1948; nearly 2 million in Gaza and over 1 million in Lebanon have been displaced, many multiple times. This has to stop and our duty is to continue the pressure on our governments, along with millions if not billions of people across the world, including large numbers of Jewish people.

While the Labour Foreign Secretary claims that the use of the term “genocide” for what is happening in Gaza “undermines the seriousness” of the term and of past genocides, we note at the very least his hypocrisy as he has (rightly) used this term in relation to the Uyghurs in China and the Rohingya in Myanmar as well as Muslims in Bosnia-Herzogovina.

The Labour Government must hear the voices of the millions worldwide who demand an end to Israel’s impunity and an end to supplying the weapons that facilitate its endless wars.

Meet at 11.45 on College Green for JBloc 02.11.24

  • The marchers represent human decency and the determination it will WIN, in spite of all the odds. They’re the embodiment of our shared humanity and of our horror at the failure of our government and its allies to stop ongoing genocide.

In no small part, the marchers help us all believe there will one day (soon?) be a just peace; a righting of the century of wrongs against the Palestinians (as far as that’s humanly possible); and better compliance by the whole world with international law. May that day be very soon.
