The toxic legacy of Starmerite philosemitism

JVL Introduction

Joseph Finlay’s assessment of Keir Starmer’s premiership is bitingly critical.

For a good reason. Starmer was a nebbish Prime Minister, most likely to remembered for frittering away a landslide majority which could have accomplished so much if he had believed in any of  the 10 Pledges on which he was elected Labour leader.

No matter. He is now determined to fashion a legacy out of loving Jews – whereas, in reality  he has made Jews in Britain less safe:

“Starmer has repeatedly conflated British Jews with Israel, framed campaigns against genocide as antisemitic and called for pro-Palestine demonstrations to be postponed or cancelled without any evidence of their connection to violent attacks. This has confirmed the Israeli narrative that diaspora Jews represent the Israeli state.

“The outcome is that people angry with Israel’s genocide are more likely to take that anger out on British Jews.”

  • Starmer…a bully whose name is writ in water. Forgettable. How many jews and non jews were suspended from the Labour Party? He was the equivalent to the witchfinder general.
I wasn’t aware the IGRC had/or will commit terrorist activities in the UK or other European countries. We hear the rhetoric but the public haven’t seen the evidence to make up their own minds.
Since we know how corrupt and untruthful the secret services are (3 times they lied to different courts about a neo nazi working for them but was abusing. It would be hard to take them seriously. This is one example. They hide behind ‘secret state privileges’ rather than outright perjury.
£250 million to protect jewish communities. What about the other communities? White britians don’t matter (they already think they don’t)? Muslims don’t matter? LGBQT don’t matter? Racism doesn’t matter? Domestic violence doesn’t matter? How quickly that money was found. There are so many groups that don’t feel supported.
He has created a divide and put one group as more value than the rest. And I do think because of this he has created non-jew hatred as well as those who will hate jews because of this.
Those legacy jewish groups are the ONLY groups he listened to. They appear pro-israel and have little regard for the plight of the indigenous population of Palestine. He reminded me of ventriloquist dummy. Who knows where the puppet master had their hands but hey controlled him jolly well.
For an educated man he was quite dim when it came to Palestine,Jews that support Palestine or did not define themselves as zionist.
He is not a socialist. He is an active capitalist.
Let him drift into nothingness and cling onto his misconceptions of what he believes he achieved for the country. The devil loves a loser.

  • Joseph Finlay singles out as the worst of Labour anti-semitism the Atlee government preventing most Holocaust survivors from entering Britain after the second world war.

I would suggest that the worst example of all was when Herbert Morrison opposed the entry of 2,000 Jewish children and the elderly from Les Milles internment camp near Aix-en-Provence in Vichy France in October 1942. The Vichy government was prepared to let them go but Morrison and Attlee, along with Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden didn’t want them.

In November the Nazis invaded Vichy France and these Jews were deported via Drancy to Auschwitz.

On 31 December 1942 Morrison stated that ‘he could not agree that the door should be opened to the entry of uncategorised Jews.’ Morrison believed that if the Jews were allowed to remain in Britain after the war ‘they might be an explosive element in the country, especially if the economic situation deteriorated.’ In other words he saw them as communists and trouble makers.

These are the antecedents of Starmer and Shabana Mahmood. The Board of Deputies went through the rituals of lobbying but otherwise did nothing. We should bear this in mind when they protest ‘antisemitism’ today.

  • Landslide majority?. Starmer “won” on LESS votes than Corbyn’s loss. Starmer “won” because the vast majority of UK stayed home on the day of the Facade of Democracy called the General Election. As to loving Jews.. Starmer loves ZIONIST JEWS. he’s on record calling numerous NON ZIONIST Jews as ” the wrong sort of Jew ” and expelled many from Labour.. Starmer is literally the most OPENLY Antisemitic Prime minister we’ve ever had.. . Or don’t you consider labelling Holocaust survivors as Antisemitic & The Wrong sort of Jew as repellent & Antisemitic?

  • Due to the chicken-hearted PLP members laying on praise with a trowel for his ‘achievements’ the ex-PM left the premiership with his head held high. Justice would have been served had his feet been held even higher and in that position unceremoniously thrown out. Anyone asleep for the last 5 years awakening to turn on the TV to watch his farewell in the HoC could be forgiven for wondering why such a paragon of virtue and superb value to party and country was cutting short his brilliant premiership.

  • A few years ago my friend met Starmer when he was running to be leader of the Labour Party. This was her comment: “I don’t very much take to Kier Starmer and I’ve met him. He’s very much on trial as far as I am concerned. I don’t trust him.

I thought he was a cold fish and conniving. I felt he was part of the undermining of Corbyn but very clever in how he went about it. Slippery as an eel and pretty unreadable. No passion or real sincerity, unlike John McDonnel and Angela Rayner who I have also met.

It was clear he couldn’t stand Corbyn and he just seemed too right wing to be proper Labour, he was a raving remainer and he came across as a smooth intellectual who very subtly looked down his nose at ordinary people. He couldn’t give answers to questions I put unlike Angela Rayner and especially John McDonell. It was intangible rather than very specific. He felt vibe wise like a smarmy creep, much like Cecil Parkinson.‬” How right she was!
