Palestine: class struggle, solidarity and a future for us all
JVL Introduction
A number of Trade Unions have expressed their support for the Palestinian people and their opposition to the genocide and British complicity: for example Unite strengthened its policy and support for BDS at its recent Policy conference and workers, especially dockworkers in several countries, have refused to load or unload shipments of weapons bound for Israel. See for example this about the Greek dock workers refusing to unload Israel’s ‘murderous cargo’.
Here Ian Hodson outlines why it is crucial that trade unionists support Palestine not only because we are internationalists but because it is part of the same struggle against the exploitative nature of capitalism and against repression and oppression. It IS our fight too.
Ian Hodson also suggests some actions we can all do.
