Machover expulsion update

The farce continues…

A supplementary expulsion letter from Sam Matthews, Head of Disputes at the Labour Party has “clarified” the grounds for Moshé Machover’ summary expulsion.

He is now being done solely for being in breach of Chapter 2.I.4.B of the Labour Party’s rules. viz. joining or supporting “a political organisation other than an official Labour Group or unit of the Party”.  If this is a rule that is to be consistently applied where is the ruling and what is the practice on all the unofficial labour groups so including Compass, Making Votes Matter and  Labour Friends of Israel.

Moshé Machover writes:

In fact I never had any “organisational involvement” with the CPGB. I am not and have never been a member. I use their paper and meetings as a forum to express my own ideas.

My “involvement” with Labour Party Marxists (LPM) is zero. My article they printed was in fact a reprint of an article published months ago in the Weekly Worker. I allowed them to reprint it – as I would allow any paper and anyone to reprint my articles.

  • The game here is pretty clear. Katz and Newmark demand Moshe’s expulsion for antisemitism, to prove that the rule change is being taken seriously. The Party apparachiks know they can’t get away with that. So they come up with this other ludicrous stuff, and expel him on these fake grounds.

Newmark is satisfied and the antisemitism charge doesn’t have to be ” investigated” now Moshe is no longer a member. This would have been a lose lose situation.

Moshe is found ” guilty” and all hell breaks loose. He is found ” innocent” and this gives great protection to anyone else they might target. The purge is dead in the water before it even gets into its stride.

    Very neat.

The whole thing is sick sick sick sick…..

And where is Corbyn all the while ?

  • There are many on the right of the party who regularly write columns in the anti Labour press, criticising the party, perhaps they should be expelled. Danczuk who after a long period of accepting Dacre’s cash was finally expelled but not in the manner accorded to Moshe Machover
