Living with anti-Zionists changed how I saw them

Arielle Karden knew what she thought about Jewish anti-Zionists, then she starting living with some and got to know them. She found their anti-Zionism was not because they rejected their Judaism but was because they cared deeply about it. Their anti-Zionism was based in a desire for equality and a rejection of the rightward shift in Israel and saw its policies towards Palestinian as ‘a fundamental threat to Judaism’.
As I learned my left-leaning friends’ stories, I couldn’t help but feel like my American Jewish community had failed them — not least by demonizing them as self-hating Jews for their perspectives on Israel.

An important insight into the situation in Germany. I wonder if UK based Jewish supporters of Israel could cite any such concrete experiences of intimidation and ostracism? So far any such stories I’ve heard have seemed unfounded, but I want to keep open to hearing…
