In this new post on his Zelo street blog, Tim Fenton visits some recent pronouncements by our very own Lord and government “independent” antisemitism adviser, John Mann, via Lee Harpin’s intrepid reporting for the Jewish Chronicle.
What a mish mash!
In a report heavy with not-so-subtle innuendo, it is claimed that the Canary and Skwawkbox, websites promote “heavily negative coverage of Jewish issues” to audiences that are “associated with antisemitism”.
We have to await publication of the study on which the allegations are based, but on the basis of Mann’s and Harpin’s comments Fenton is easily able to expose some of its and their ideological underpinnings in what will certainly be used as an exercise to discredit the left.

The racist, ‘anti-racist Czar’ John Mann who persecuted the travelling community and defended racists sitting in the House of Lords. What has the world come to?
This stuff coming from the Conservatives is rubbishy. As we all know, the establishment media is uncontrolled, mendacious and the worst of all.
John Mann reminds me of a pile of excrement left by a dog on the pavement, but this time spewed from his mouth.
I read the JC article online. As usual by most things with Lee Harpin involvement, the article is full of insinuations, allegations and lacks anything remotely classed as evidence or fact. A 3rd rate hack, writing for a 3rd rate rag (which actually would have disappeared down the nearest sewer if it wasn’t for the publicity garnered from the persecution of Corbyn), repeating bile from a 3rd rate member of the house of corruption and hasbeans.
A report carried out by a Zionist for a Zionist into non Zionist left wing sites. Dressed up as an investigation into anti semitism. Thrown into the mix an attempt to persuade us all that said left wing sites have something in common with the actual antisemites on the right. Just the sort of nonsense Lee Harpin likes to report on. The Zionist Chronicle is stuck in the gutter
Mann is a very nasty man that I want no association with .This person is now called a lord whatever that is. Why oh why does Labour keep shooting itself in the foot by allowing these insensitive ignorant people anyware near a descent Labour party. There are many others. Jess Phillips Austin come to mind.
I’ve gained the impression over the years that Mann would be somewhere off the bottom of the IQ scale, were his to be measured. Love your picture with that other muppet McNicol sitting in the background – that photo alone should be evidence enough to abolish the Lords. As for Allington, I would interested to know on what basis he ever merited the title “Doctor.” Jeez!
Those in the mould of John Mann, Iain Austin- invariably worse than useless during their time in the Commons- are now free to properly unveil their anti-left agendas.
Tony Benn understood better than most the anti-democratic role of the Lords.

Can I suggest that one aspect of the Report that needs further attention is the ‘research’ of Dr Allington of King’s College. Allington happens to be the go to academic for the CAA. He produces on demand and first reaches his conclusions and then finds the evidence.
Allington it was who first found that anti-semitism is now higher on the left than the right by the simple expedient of adding 6 pro-Israel questions. I am thinking of complaining to Kings College about this pretentious academic
