“Jewish Warriors” denounce people for deportation

Like its namesakes in other countries, Betar US are not only zionist but, on its website, “describes its members as “Jewish warriors” and proclaims they are “loud, proud, aggressive and unapologetically zionist. We aren’t the nice, polite Jews.”

This group is proudly and openly reporting people who are pro Palestinian to the authorities, which has led to arrests, detention and deportations.  Its main targets are students from overseas who have shown support for Palestinians, such as opposing what is happening in Gaza.  All those being detained has the legal right to be in the USA but this has not stopped the arrests – although, the courts have stopped some deportations, they remain incarcerated.

This article says that, so far, they have not targeted antizionist Jews but their posts on social media indicate that they are drawing up the list, even if they have not yet submitted it – yet.  There is more detail about their actions and those of Canary Mission in this CNN article. 

We have been here before; the parallels with the Nazi era – and other dictatorships – are clear.  What is also clear is that the members of Betar have learned no compassion or humanity from history; they have only learned “might is right”.
