Oscar Leyens, Jewish writer and activist, identifies a “a competition between the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats in seeing how passionately you can sound like you care about Jews”.
The many important and legitimate ways of trying to represent and safeguard Jewish communities but the real fight against antisemitism is absent from their manifestos and their electioneering speeches.
Their interventions express, rather, the crocodile tears of a phoney solidarity

Really excellent piece. As far as I recall on QT Swinson’s evidence for anti-Semitism was that it must be true because Luciana Berger said so….
