This article shows clearly the growing danger faced by Muslims on the streets of Britain today. All racism must be opposed. The £14 million Government fund to the CST to protect synagogues needs to be matched and more, for a much larger population under increasing threat

People of ALL faiths should be alarmed and very worried about the rise and fascilitation of far right wing ideology, extremism and hatred with its hideous promotion by white supremacist leaders in the West, USA, Israel, Brazil and Hungary in particular. We stand in solidarity with everyone targeted and under attack. We will not tolerate this.

This seems to imply that if CST is receiving £14 million the Muslim equivalent body should receive at least £150 million from central government?
UK governments supporting Likud’s racist supremacist zionist policies is costing all of us more than just a “pretty penny”!
Hardly anyone would openly admit that there is a hierarchy of racism but our actions suggest otherwise. Is it seriously suggested that racism against Jews is the only racism in the Labour Party ? The behaviour of the NEC suggests that Labour only cares about racism against Jews. Likewise as John points out the behaviour of a government suggests that it cares much more about violence against Synagogues than violence against Mosques.
Nothing I say should be read as diminishing the disgust we all should feel about Antisemitism. Nobody openly acknowledges that there is a hierarchy of racisms but the actions of the Labour Party and Government suggests that they believe a Jewish life is more important than a Muslim or Palestinian life. Surely that is itself racist ?
As socialists we must firmly assert that all human beings are equally valuable.
The very existence of s Labour Friends of Israel suggests that Labour isn’t fully committed to that ideal. Labour is a broad church but surely to goodness we aught to agree that we condemn racism in all circumstances ?
