Government decides the Muslim Council of Britain is incompatible with interfaith work.

The British Government has withdrawn its crucial funding from the Interfaith Network (IFN) because one of its Trustees was also on the Board of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB).  That person is Mr. Hassan Joudi who writes here about what has happened and why work of the IFN,  which has is to close, is important.

His words have been missing from the mainstream media and we are pleased to publish this piece by Mr Joudi .  You can read more about the Interfaith Network here , including the various statements it has made regarding the government withdrawing its funding and its intention to close as a result .  We also commend to you this clear interview with IFN’s Secretary General Zarah Mohammed on BBC Sunday programme  (25.02.24) from 1’30, in which, for example, she says that the organisation has already condemned the October 7th attack and also praises the work and contributiom of Mr. Joudi.  Another interviewee later notes that the MCB is not a proscribed organisation.  This also seems another example of one mistake more than ten years ago not being forgiven if this can be linked to support for Hamas.
