Pro Palestine activists take heart; Israel’s propaganda is failing

JVL Introduction

The organisations supporting Israel are getting desperate. Here Mandy Turner explores particularly the work of NGO Monitor including its attempts to stop funders supporting humanitarian organisations in its latest, lengthy report on “foreign funding” of organisations supporting justice for Palestine and Palestinians.  Mandy Turner argues that their propaganda (hasbara) is failing and that opinion is changing dramatically, for example with very few in the UK supporting close partnership with Israel.  While Israel and its advocates spend more and more on propaganda and go full tilt on the attack, this is having less and less effect with more people shunning Israel for its actions and justification of the genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, The Jerusalem Post reported on the ongoing Israel tourism struggles after Gaza war without, of course, really appreciating, let alone be willing to address the reasons.

However, the work of pro Israel organisations continues and remains powerful and sinister.  It can certainly be disheartening knowing that it is taking far too long as I srael is killing people in Gaza – and the West Bank. But the tide is turning and it is increasingly becoming an election issue, certainly in the USA and also the UK.

So we take heart and we keep going because it is working.
