All out for Palestine 17th May
Saturday 17 May, 12 noon
National Demonstration for Palestine. End the Genocide.
Starting on the Embankment, crossing two bridges and ending in Whitehall
This march also marks the 77th anniversary of the NAKBA when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were dispossessed and expelled
The appalling situation in Gaza and the West Bank is clear for all to see. The starvation of people in Gaza, the murder of 15 paramedics and humanitarian workers, and much more is even waking up the British mainstream press – finally. All are clear that Israel has broken the ceasefire. We march again to demand an end to Israel’s pulverisation of Gaza, its siege and its illegal occupation. We can see the attacks by settlers while house demolitions continue.
We also march to mark the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, when in 1948 the State of Israel was established on the backs of the ethnic cleansing of 750,000 Palestinians, forced to leave their homes and become refugees.
We also march to remember that Palestinians are not only victims, it is not sympathy that will make the difference but justice; the necessary actions that our government refuses to make. The pressure on politicians is already intense and must increase.
Join the march if you possibly can. The Jewish Bloc meeting point for this march will be: The Henry Bartle Frere Statue, Victoria Embankment Gardens SW1A 2ET. JVL, JSG and other Jewish groups will be there with our banners from 12 noon. We need to make the Jewish bloc on this important demonstration a huge and vibrant one!
