Changing the Climate
JVL Introduction
Naomi Klein has been campaigning for a decade for real solutions to the climate crisis. Her latest book On Fire: The (Burning) Case for a Green New Deal, is a compilation of her last decade’s worth of essays and speeches on climate and the environment in support of such a plan.
It is reviewed sympathetically but critically by Alex Lubben in the latest issue of Jewish Currents.
“As we move into a new era of climate consensus, the implementation of a Green New Deal will, as Klein writes, ‘necessarily be a work in progress’—one driven by the imagination of movements, unions, and scientists.”
