Are we for justice – or just us?

JVL Introduction

Jay Saper of JVP was proud to march in solidarity  against the attacks on Orthodox Jewish communities in the US from Monsey to Jersey City to Brooklyn.

But more than a little upset that important Jewish communal organisations, who co-organised the march,  seem only to care for Jews.

Fortunately, there are countermoves — toward a politics of solidarity and collective liberation, for justice not just us.

As Rabbi Miriam Grossman who lit a public menorah protected by a ring of South Asian Muslims and other people of color, said. “We are already protecting each other. The path forward is not isolation or fear but solidarity, relationships, and love.”
